Proposed Action:

Two alternatives are evaluated in the Environmental Assessment:

  • A No Action Alternative, which means no transportation improvements in the study area
  • A Proposed Action, which upgrades and extends Dowling Road between Old Seward Highway and Minnesota Drive

Here are a few proposed action highlights:

  • 5 lane arterial road connecting Old Seward Highway to Minnesota Drive.
  • 6-foot sidewalk and a 10-foot separated multi-use pathway along roadway.
  • Upgrades to Dowling Road between Old Seward Highway and B Street.
  • Replace old Campbell Creek bridge with new redesigned structure, which will route the recreation trail under the bridge.
